As one of the most iconic sports figures of the past twenty years, Derek Jeter is getting quite the reception as he plays out his last season in Major League Baseball. As the Yankees travel around the country, Jeter has been receiving gifts from the opposing teams that honor the legendary shortstop for his accomplishments in the game. These gifts have ranged from useless items that will probably be thrown away, to some very clever items that embody the city they come from.
Sunday afternoons aren't usually a time for major news but in the case of this Sunday the NBA's outfitter, Adidas, was sent into a frenzy when Lebron James announced that he would be wearing the number 23 jersey in Cleveland this season. "King James" tweeted out mid afternoon that he would be ditching his Miami number, 6, and going back to wearing the number he grew up in.
Tyler and Elsa Lang, the creative partnership behind the design and illustration collective Always With Honor were recently called upon to create several designs to decorate the Toronto House of Hoops locations that opened in March 2013. With the help of Nike, Always With Honor was able to create some amazing artwork that is now featured in Canada's first House of Hoops.
